Washing Hands

COVID-19

Waterside Home Care is keeping up with new guidelines relating to Covid-19, in order to keep our staff and our clients safe, whilst still providing quality care and support. We are continuously monitoring and reviewing our approach to this new virus and preparing our staff with the right PPE and knowledge to feel safe whilst working.

Advice for Prevention

We can help prevent the spread of the virus by doing a few simple steps:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.

  • Always wash your hands upon arrival of work and when you get home.

  • If soap and water is unavailable, use hand sanitiser.

  • Use a tissue when coughing or sneezing or into the bend of the elbow. Always wash your hands straight after.

  • Avoid close contact with anyone with respiratory symptoms.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Disinfect touched objects and surfaces.

  • If you feel unwell, contact the 111 Coronavirus helpline and follow any advice given, including isolation guidelines.

  • If a member of staff or clients has a positive Covid-19 test, Waterside Home Care will provide a list of all bodies the infected person has come in contact with, within the last 14 days.

  • All staff should wear the required PPE given.
